What is Crossroads?

Crossroads Ministries, Inc. is an interdenominational Christ-centered outreach to those shunned and cast aside by the mainstream of society.  It focuses on ministering to the unique spiritual needs of the homeless, marginalized and those battling with life controlling trauma or addictions, while providing preventive ministry to at risk children.  This is accomplished by encouraging Churches, Christian organizations and Christian individuals to work together beyond denominational walls to address the unique spiritual needs of this population.

Crossroads was founded in 1984 by the Revs. Joseph & Eartha Harris in Worcester, MA.  It is a Massachusetts not for profit corporation in good standing with Federal, Massachusetts and Maryland governments, and is a 501(c)3 tax exempt religious organization.

Crossroads thrived as a missionary ministry in Worcester, MA for eighteen years, effectively bringing the local body of Christ together to tackle the needs of  its hard to reach communities.  (See Crossroads in Worcester)  The ministry became somewhat dormant while its founders tackled health issues and sought the Lord regarding His will for its continuation.  Having received a clear Word from the Lord that He needs this ministry to fulfill its God-given  mission, Crossroads has been revived.  It’s current focus is Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore and  Massachusetts’ Worcester County.

“…If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday…. And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt, you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.”  Isaiah 58:10-12
